Group theory applied to the Rubik's cube

Abstract: The goal of this class is to explain group theory using Rubik’s cube and other permutation puzzles. Using the ideas from [1] and [2] we will see how it we can embed those puzzles in a certain permutation group $S_n$, which greatly simplifies the presentation and manipulation of those groups.
